College students in Boston unite to create their own feature film, A Work of Fiction, screening at the Coolidge Corner Theatre this month.A team of college students in Boston joined together in the pursuit of making a movie. However, unlike others before them, they succeeded. After much hard work, time, and a few obstacles, they completed the feature length film, A Work of Fiction (AWOF). The film will be screened for the first time on December 6th 2006 at 7 pm, at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, MA. Music composer Kareem Roustom talks about developing his career in L.A., finding his way back to Boston, and the making of his recent film Encounter Point, which screens this month.Thirty-five year old music composer, Kareem Roustom has played at the United Nations and the Kennedy Center and contributed to major studios on films like Me, Myself & Irene (Fox Pictures) and The Two of Us (Paramount Pictures). Sergeant Zack Bazzi's The War Tapes shows a side of Iraq you haven’t seen before. Short-listed for an Academy Award nomination, the documentary screens this month in NH.Sergeant Zack Bazzi is not an average civilian, and not an average soldier, either. He recorded 50 videotapes while serving in a combat unit in Iraq in 2004.
