Established: Launched in 1997
Comprehensive: Free for all users, the site contains over 5,000 industry directory listings; thousands of articles, interviews and how-tos; and hundreds of current local films listings, jobs, events and classifieds.
Loyal Subscriber Base of Industry Professionals: The site receives over 65,000 visitors and over 150,000 page views monthly (according to Google Analytics) and our email newsletter currently has over 15,000 subscribers. The improved site launched in October 2008 with 20,000 members.
Targeted Traffic: The majority of our readers are from the U.S., with 40% from the New England area. Our readers are working filmmakers and industry professionals.
Interactive Community: Members can customize their public profiles, contact other members through the site, and have a single login to participate in forums; post classifieds; and update local film and directory listings.
Production Resources: In addition to the classifieds and directory, NewEnglandFilm.com recently launched its resources section to include filming locations and a state-by-state comparison of filmmaking in the region. This resource will provide valuable free resources, statistics, and comparisons for companies and producers from LA, NY and abroad who are researching filming in New England and New York.
Online Film Festival: In 2009, NewEnglandFilm.com will launch its first-ever online film festival which will give advertisers increased exposure in the local industry. The online festival, partnered with the 30-year-old New England Film & Video Festival, will culminate in a screening and awards ceremony at a Boston theatre.
